Lunchtime Reading: Dominique Strauss-Kahn's Eyebrows and Two Stories of Peer Review

The biochemistry that keeps Dominique Strauss-Kahn's eyebrows black while his hair has turned white.

Research on social contagions runs into trouble in the peer review process.

My friend and colleague, Kim Yi Dionne, and her coauthors have a paper pulled from the Bulletin of the WHO because an earlier version of the manuscript had been posted online as a working paper.

Joe Ura

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Texas A&M University. My research focuses on judicial politics and heterogeneity in mass-elite linkages in the United States, and I teach courses on American government and politics. Though my writing here is, of course, informed by my work, this is a personal forum. My views are my own and don't necessarily represent those of Texas A&M, the Department of Political Science, my colleagues, or other guys named Joe.
